home in transition

Train ride to work. Pit-stops at a gas station in the swelling summer. Lunch breaks to eat and philosophise. 

These are the places I allow myself to simply 'be'. Moments of transition that fall outside the expectation of how we spend time. Here, I allow myself to still - to be "unproductive", to rest, to find pleasure without guilt of time wasted. Here, I am not just someone who works for corporate, or some kind of artist, or a daughter, or a friend, or a graduate, or a product, or a LinkedIn and Instagram profile, or a brand. Just me.

I make this my home. The in-between, where nothing is a dead end. The wheres I have yet to arrive, that will always lead me to another.
